OPMR was founded in January 2020 by Maggie and Roger Konicke. We are a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue with local and military-affiliated staff members and partnerships with local rescues.
Our mission is to rescue as many dogs as we can from puppy mills in Okinawa, Japan! We also work to educate the public about the abuse these dogs have faced, and encourage local views and animal welfare laws to change.
Until these puppy mills stop, we will keep doing our best to free these dogs and give them the love and care they desperately deserve until they find their fur-ever homes!
